Thalema Williams was a born and raised on island of St. Croix, USVI. At the age of five, she began her training dancing jazz, cultural, ballet, tap, hip hop, to name a few. We performed throughout the community doing group routines with her friends, improv pieces and was part of Pure Essence group. She was a dancer & performer for SCEC Dance Team, SCEC Cheerleading Team, Speak the Word Leap of Faith Ministries, & Soul Sister Steppers. Upon graduation, she auditioned for the American Academy of Ballet, competed in Hal Jackson Talented Teen where she placed first runner up, and performed selections from Alvin Ailey's "Revelations".

 

Thalema full training began when she moved to Orlando, FL where she joined the Vixens Dance Team, Valencia's Step Team, performed as a Disney Character Parade Performer and was also involved in “The Chocolate Nutcracker”, a Laverne Reed Production. She studied many styles unter the direction of Tonya Matheny at Ready, Set, Dance, Orlando School of Cultural Dance, Dr. Phillips YMCA teaching numerous classes and choreographed pieces such as Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip hop, Cultural, Jazz, Tumbling, & Latin. Thalema Williams, started LeFusion Dance Company on February 2008 in Orlando, FL consisting of dancers 18 & older. In 2009, she relocated to New York City for three and half years, where she continue LeFusion Dance Company along with training and taken classes at Alvin Ailey, DNA, Steps on Broadway, Chelsea Piers. Thalema Williams also trained in California, Virginia and Maryland.

 

The official annonucement of Thalema Williams Studios in August 2016, with my interested dancers on the island of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands Thalema traveled back to her hometown to give back. Thalema Williams Studios is a one stop studio offering a professional Dance Academy, private lessons, choreography, photography and videography. Thalema welcome all dancers that would love to be a part of our family - friend environment where you will take recreational ro professional training classes.
